NEPAJAC is first and foremost a celebration
of local action and an opportunity to network among grass roots
groups ranging from the Mid-Hudson to beyond Saratoga and from
Syracuse/Ithaca to Central Massachusetts, for mutual encouragement
and support. Additional goals of the Conference are to form an
informal NORTHEAST PEACE AND JUSTICE ACTION COALITION with an
interactive listserve and website and explore a range of nonviolent
ACTIONS we may wish to take individually and collectively in support of
Peace, Justice, and to protect our democratic rights.
Local grass-roots activity is the growing edge for securing a just
and peaceful social order. NEPAJAC has been organized by Bethlehem
Neighbors for Peace, the Saratoga Peace Alliance, and other veterans of
the Nov. 15, 2003 Politics of Fear Conference in Albany. We
invite other local action groups in the region to endorse the conference
and to encourage two or more members to participate.
Pre-Register by May 25, if you want lunch
$10-$25 (sliding scale) plus lunch at $7.50.
